Dear friends,
2021 was a wild ride. And now 2022 has started. It’s unclear where we’re going and how we’ll get there. But we all know well that we “get by with a little help from our friends.” The Beatles got that right! And many of us also get by with a little help from our practitioner friends. We hang in there together, we breathe together, we let go together. We smile together and wish one another well as we move on with our separate but connected lives.
For 2022, there seems to be no need for serious new year resolutions. They most often fail, leaving us disappointed and discouraged. Instead, we can simply aspire to come together to practice, and to take time daily to support our wellbeing. On Monday at 4:30 , we will take the time to lovingly teach the mind to be aware of the present, which, beyond the essentials of living, is all that we really need. It’s a goldmine, filled with all of the ingredients needed for happiness.
No, it’s not easy to be present, to stay present, to be conscious and to do so with an open heartmind, but that’s why we get together. Patiently, one breath at a time….we experience glimmers of deep peace, like seeing the sun peek out from behind the clouds, or watching the full moon rise up above the horizon…it’s there all along but we just weren’t able to see it before. Let’s take a look together to see what rises up, shall we?
